After
doing two long shows at McSweeney’s, what’s Dan’s next step?
Do another one.
Following his performances as
Pierce in “Who Shot The Boss,” and most recently as
Mortimer the socially awkward
weirdo in “Can’t Buy Me Love,” Dan is pretty pumped to grind out some
tractor-riding music.
Hailing from Springhill, N.S., Dan once upon a time completed his music
degree at McKenzie College in Cape Breton.
He has since been living in Moncton performing for all of you.
Enjoy the show!
Margo Belliveau
Margo (also known as Margamie-Horigamie, Margomo, Magob, Belliveau Power,
Marge, Rhonda Civic or the thermomenator) is proud to have joined the band
wagon for her very first show at McSweeney`s.
Born in Moncton and raised in Grand-Falls, this Acadian girl loves
to play truth or dare, but only for the dares.
She is in the final stage of her
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Therapy and Tourism at the
University of Moncton. You would never be able to tell this by looking at
her, but her idol is Richard Simmons.
Loves: playing music, laughing very loudly, shiny things, and turtles. Hates:
pina coladas and dancing in the rain.
One of her main goals is to entertain you all tonight and put on a good
show. Some of her other goals are to climb Mount Everest, bake a cake, find
a cure for ADD, and rule the world.
Karina Langis
This will be Karina’s first try at
this dinner theater thing. She sure wants to thank the McSweeney's directors
for this wonderful opportunity! Karina is Mexican, but she was born and
raised in Edmundston, the city of yellow pancakes. She has been playing
drums for 8 years. She’s often
mistaken for Rihanna, but prefers Britney Spears.
She’s addicted to sweatpants and raspberry yogurt.
She absolutely loves the movie Grease
and has a poster of Rocky in her bedroom to remind her how cool Sylvester
Stallone is. If you gave her
play-doh, she would probably build a dragon. She owns at least 40 pairs of
high heels, but still looks like a midget. She’s scared to death of water in
every form; touching it, drinking it, looking at it, drowning in it . . .
One thing is for sure, this new
country music lover cannot wait to entertain all of you.
Enjoy the show!
Peter Hammond
A Moncton native, Peter Hammond is
new to the dinner theatre scene. In this, his first show, he plays a slow
talking ex-rodeo bull-rider named Russell. Offstage, however, Peter isn’t
entirely brainless as he has completed one year at Mount Allison University.
Although Peter was always a movie
buff, he only first caught the acting bug in his grade twelve year at
Harrison Trimble when he played the lead role of
Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
As the youngest member of the cast he’s excited to receive life lessons from
his veteran colleagues as well as lessons on how to be a better musician and
thespian.
Tricia Black
Tricia is so excited to be back in
Canada, the true north strong and free!
After living in Chicago for six months studying at The Second City,
she is pumped to return to McSweeney’s.
You may have seen her Twisting the night away in last summer’s
production “Let’s Twist Again,” and now she’s got her cowboy boots on and is
ready to go country! Tricia’s
idols in life are The Golden Girls – she owns all seven seasons on DVD and
strives to be just like them. “I
hope you enjoy the show. Y’all
come back now ya hear!”
Daniel Robichaud
Danny hails from Rexton, NB, and this is his first show at McSweeney’s.
Danny’s been in Halifax for 25 years and has a theatre degree from
Dalhousie University. He has worked
at both Halifax Feast and Grafton Street Dinner Theatre for seven years, and
is now thrilled to back in his home province and working with such a tal
MEET THE DIRECTORS

Heather McIsaac
returns to direct her fourth McSweeney’s production. Previous director
credits include Let’s Twist
Again, Desperate Wedding Crashers, and a private function called
Co-op Team Spirit Night 2009.
She comes to the position with a wide range of both musical and
theatre experience, including performing in dinner theatres across the
Maritimes. She has performed extensively with various musical groups,
including jazz bands, an acapella septet, and a ladies singing ensemble.
She is currently pursuing a B.Ed at the University of Maine at
Presque Isle, following which she intends to return to classroom
teaching. She is excited to
be working with such a talented cast as she rediscovers the magic that
is The Beatles. Heather
could not have brought this show together without the co-direction of
her brother, Bobby, who made the music come to life.
